What is Out of stock?
Out of stock describes a product that is unavailable at a relevant point of sale. OOS must be measured by channel, location, and variant. Inventory elsewhere does not help if it cannot reach the point of demand in time.
Practical example
A product exists in the central warehouse but is not available at Amazon. It is still OOS for that channel.
